Saunders constructed the National Western Center District Energy project, which sources 90 percent of its heating and cooling from an existing 72-inch diameter wastewater infrastructure pipe, called the Delgany Interceptor. This system is the largest wastewater heat recovery (WHR) system in the U.S. to date.
Saunders is one of the largest energy-efficient builders in the State of Colorado, building 69 LEED certified projects in the last 20 years.
