VIM 2 Apartments

This project marks the first ground-up, new construction for Saunders Norwood Construction since its inception in 2021.

Saunders Norwood, in partnership with Norwood Development, broke ground in September 2022. VIM 2 is a 6-story wood-framed apartment building in downtown Colorado Springs. The building adds 150,000 square feet and 122 apartments to the overall VIM development, blending extended stay hospitality thinking with smaller, smarter floor plans. 

VIM 2 is designed to offer streamlined, simple living without sacrifice. Residents of the two new apartment buildings will share indoor lounge spaces, courtyards, a roof-top hot tub, a dog wash, bike storage and other amenities. 

This is a zero-lot-line project, constructed on the east side of the site within 10 feet from the VIM 1 building, which is being built at the same time. Coordination with the general contractor for the VIM 1 building has been paramount to maintaining a safe and efficient job site throughout construction.
