Riverdale Ridge High School

Construction of this bond-funded high school campus was one of the largest ever built in Colorado.

The state-of-the-art 253,000-square-foot facility on 60 acres accommodates 1,800 students. The site includes over two miles of city and county roads with water, storm sewer lines.

The school’s athletic facilities include a 4,000-seat football stadium and track complex, large track and field auxiliary field, baseball field, softball field, flex field, tennis court, a large gym with 3,000 capacity, an additional small gym, wrestling room, cheer/dance room, weight room and large locker rooms.

Riverdale Ridge High School embraces a Small Learning Community (SLC) model organized around four small learning communities that gives students a personalized learning experience, while maintaining a small school feel. The arts portion of the building includes 500 seat auditorium with stage lighting and control systems, a choir room and a band room. There are several pods with science classrooms and traditional learning rooms

The Administration and Media Center are located at the main entrance, with the second story Media Center capturing incredible views to the northwest and Colorado’s Front Range. A large student commons, which promotes social interaction between students and staff, can also be used as pre-function space for after-hours events in the auditorium and gymnasium.
