Read More →Colorado Veterans Monument – Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park
Originally dedicated on Veterans Day in 1990, the Colorado tribute to the Veterans monument is a memorial to the fallen and a tribute for the living. Built from sandstone, the tower represents the image of strength while the beacon atop marks a special place for lasting awareness and memory. Saunders has been keeping up with maintenance on the monument in Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park every year since.
Colorado Fallen Heroes Memorial – Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park
In 2021, Saunders completed the Colorado Fallen Heroes Memorial, which was dedicated on Veterans Day 2021, and stands alongside the original monument, paying tribute to each Colorado veteran who has fallen in the service of our country. Saunders’ project team built this memorial twice, as days before the project was turned over, protests in Denver led to major damage and defacement to the memorial.
General Rose Monument – Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park
In 2023, Saunders completed the General Rose Monument project in Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park, preparing the site’s hardscape and landscaping for installation of a bronze statue commemorating U.S. Army Major General Maurice Rose. Rose, who grew up in Denver, was one of the highest-ranking U.S. servicemen killed by enemy fire in WWII.
