Projects underway at University of Denver and Denver Art Museum

(Centennial, Colo.) – March 11, 2019 – Saunders Construction, Colorado’s leading construction company, is gearing up for an exciting 2019 with a few new, high-profile projects underway including the University of Denver Community Commons and First Year Residence Hall, Denver Art Museum North Building, Riverview Animal Shelter and the Thornton Trail Winds Recreation Center. In addition, Saunders is implementing a variety of new technologies and efficiencies that are innovating the industry including augmented and virtual reality. These technologies provide great benefits during the construction process – from verifying quality to providing an immersive experience within the building prior to it being actually built.

In 2018, Saunders completed 26 major projects, from a 24-story multi-family tower to a new high school campus, as well as small tenant improvement projects for technology, architecture and engineering companies. The organization achieved a little over $619 million in construction revenue for 2018. In 2018, they also completed a fire and police safety facility in Thornton, which became famous with the dinosaur discovery and excavation during construction. These specific construction projects were the result of years of planning and work on the part of developers, architects, Saunders Construction and city municipalities, among others.
